Which tray are you making?

These are the trays buyers order from us most. Every format is cut to your drawing from the same cast acrylic; the job the tray does decides its size, handle, and bottom.

Photo-insert and event trays: what goes on the drawing

Two of the formats above, with the details that change the drawing and the quote.

Photo-insert and printed-art trays

An acrylic tray with insert, or photo-insert tray, has a slot in its double bottom that takes a printed card, so you approve the tray frame once and change the artwork by reprinting inserts. A printed-art tray carries the design for good, UV-printed second-surface under the clear floor. Art brands and print-on-demand sellers order both from 100 pieces per design.

  • The slot is machined to your insert: send the paper or board thickness with the art size
  • Inserts are reprinted and shipped on their own, without new trays
  • Blank frames for stitched canvases: needlepoint tray blanks

Delivered: photo trays for a print-on-demand brand, 600 on the first order with monthly reorders, and an artist brand’s 1,000-tray engraved reorder.

Plexiglass trays for events and catering

Acrylic trays for events, plexiglass trays for parties, and plexiglass catering trays are the same cast PMMA build: they don't shatter when a guest drops one, weigh about half as much as glass, and survive quick-turn washing between bookings. Cut-out handles are the rental default, and a sponsor or venue mark goes second-surface under the glassware.

  • Matched sets that nest, so a fleet stores and ships in the footprint of the largest tray
  • Lids, dividers, or cut-out holders for flutes, shot glasses, and tubs
  • Send the event date first: we plan sample, production, and air or split air/sea freight back from it

Delivered: 150 wearable catering trays with stainless-reinforced strap anchors for roaming event service.

Acrylic tray reference prices

Three published tray references at up to four quantities: pick one to see its FOB Shenzhen price. Any other size is quoted from your drawing.

What moves your quote

  • Size and thickness
  • Order quantity
  • Clear, colored, frosted, or mirrored sheet
  • Handle and bottom: cut-out, metal, printed, insert
  • Logo method and packing

Final price follows the approved drawing, artwork, finish, packing, and quantity.

Bulk and repeat tray programs

Every order is made to your spec; the unit price falls with volume as cutting, print setup, and polishing changeovers spread across more trays. Several designs built with the same process can share one production window and shipment. Buyers asking for custom plastic trays or custom plexiglass serving trays get the same made-to-order program — acrylic is the rigid PMMA plastic we cut.

How a custom tray is specified

Every acrylic tray is built from four choices: how it carries (handle), how your brand goes on (logo method), the sheet and thickness, and what sits in the bottom. Size, shape, and color are open; we confirm each choice on the drawing and the paid sample.

Handle

Pick by how far the tray travels loaded.

Clear acrylic tray with brass metal handles
Metal handlesStainless or brass, bolted through. Strongest grip for service floors.
Clear acrylic tray with routed cut-out handles
Cut-out handlesRouted into the wall. One piece, no hardware, stacks low.
Handleless clear acrylic tray holding a candle and flowers
No handlesUnbroken polished rim for vanity, counter, and décor trays.

Personalized & branded trays

Personalized, monogrammed, and branded acrylic trays use one of four methods. Color count, wear, and how often the design changes decide which one; we proof placement on the sample.

Silk-screen printed logo on a white acrylic tray
Silk-screen printingOne or two flat colors; the most economical logo across a large run.
UV-printed floral artwork on an acrylic tray with gold handles
UV printingFull-color art or photos, printed second-surface so it reads through the clear bottom.
Laser-etched monogram on a clear acrylic amenity tray
Laser etchingPermanent frosted mark for monograms and crests; survives daily wiping.
Gold hot-stamped monogram on a black acrylic tray
Hot stampingGold, silver, or custom foil for wedding, gala, and luxury gift trays.

Define the fit before the sample

Give the usable inside dimensions and the maximum outside footprint when a tray must hold products or sit in a fixture, and say which one your numbers mean. We mark critical dimensions and measurement points on one production drawing and approve them against the sample. For bottle layouts, compare a bare tray, bonded dividers, and a removable insert.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of acrylic trays does Wetop manufacture?

Most orders fall into five groups: perfume and beauty trays with bottle dividers, photo-insert and printed-art trays, cut-out holder trays for glasses or tubs, logo serving trays, and event and catering trays. All come in rectangular, round, or custom shapes with metal, cut-out, or no handles, made to the approved drawing from 100 pieces per design. The hotel amenity-tray project shows two tray designs sharing one color, branding, cleaning, inspection, and packing brief.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom acrylic trays — and can I start small?

Our production MOQ is 100 pieces per design. Buyers who want to validate a tray first start with a paid sample, built to the final size, wall thickness, handle, and bottom on the same line as bulk, then approve it for production. If your program includes several tray designs, each normally needs 100 pieces; we coordinate them in one production window and shipment to reduce handling and freight. Ask for 100 / 250 / 500-piece pricing in your quote.

How much do custom acrylic trays cost?

A named FOB Shenzhen reference is a 16×12in serving tray in 5mm clear acrylic with cut-out handles and an etched logo: $19 each at 100 pieces, $11 at 500, and $8 at 1,000. Size, thickness, handle hardware, color, artwork method, packing, and destination move the final number. Send the seven quote inputs and we respond within 24 hours with an itemized quote.

How long does a tray order take, and can you meet an event or launch date?

A sample takes 3–5 days and bulk production 15–20 days after sample approval, priced FOB Shenzhen with CIF and DDP available. For acrylic trays for events, plexiglass trays for parties, or a product launch, send the date first: we work backwards through sample, approval, production, and transit and tell you whether it clears, including where air freight or a split air/sea shipment buys the date back. If it doesn't work, we say so and quote the fastest realistic route.

Can you add custom artwork or photos to acrylic trays?

Yes, two ways. A bottom-insert tray has a slot that holds a printed card: you approve the tray frame once, then swap artwork seasonally, by product line, or by market without reordering trays, and inserts cost less per unit than a tray. A printed-bottom tray carries the design permanently, UV-printed or silk-screened second-surface so it reads through the clear floor. Send vector artwork (AI/EPS) with exact insert dimensions and we confirm fit at sample stage; the etch vs print vs insert comparison shows when each wins.

Can you produce branded, personalized, or monogrammed acrylic trays in bulk?

Yes — branded bulk trays are our standard program, from 100 pieces per design. Full-color art goes to UV printing, a permanent frosted monogram or crest to laser etching, gold or silver foil to hot stamping, and flat one- or two-color logos to silk-screen, the most economical at volume. Where a program needs many names or initials, a printed bottom insert lets you reprint per name without new trays. Send vector artwork with fonts outlined; we proof placement on the sample and inspect 100% of the run against it.

What do you need to quote a custom acrylic tray?

Seven items: exterior dimensions (and whether they are inside or outside measurements), intended contents or load, acrylic color and thickness, handle style, bottom or branding treatment, quantity per design, and destination with the preferred freight term. For insert trays add the insert size and thickness, since the slot is machined to it. A sketch or reference photo is enough for the first review; the online tray builder and spec worksheet put the inputs into one brief.

Is Wetop the tray factory or a trading company?

Wetop is the factory. Trays are cut, polished, printed, assembled, and inspected in our own ISO 9001 facility in Shenzhen, and the people answering your drawing questions are the people producing the order, so there is no reseller margin and no relay between you and production. Bulk tray orders are made to order from 100 pieces per design, and the paid sample is made on the same production line as bulk.
