Five ways to build an acrylic sign

The build decides how the graphic looks, how long it lasts and what the sign costs. The quote names the build we recommend for your drawing.

BuildHow it is madeSuits

Reverse printArtwork printed on the back of a clear panel and read through the acrylicLobby logo signs that need a glossy, wipe-clean face

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order for custom acrylic signs?

Custom acrylic signs start at 100 pieces per design, built to your drawing. That suits a brand fitting out several stores, offices or hotel floors to one standard. If you need one to ten signs, that is below what our production line can quote. A paid sample comes first: USD 200–500, built in 3–5 days, paid separately and never credited to the production order. Production then takes 15–20 days after approval.

Do room numbers or staff names on each sign count as separate designs?

No. If the sign shape, size, material, layout and print or engraving method stay the same and only the variable text changes (room numbers, names, titles, floor numbers), it is one design, and the 100-piece minimum applies to the total. A different size, shape, color or artwork layout is a separate design with its own minimum. Send the full text list as a spreadsheet with the order.

What is the difference between an acrylic sign and an acrylic sign holder?

On an acrylic sign the graphic is part of the panel: printed, engraved or built up in layers, so it stays the same for the life of the sign. A sign holder is a clear frame that takes a paper or card insert you change yourself. Choose a sign for logos, room numbers and wayfinding, and a holder for menus, prices and notices that change.

Can you make lit or edge-lit acrylic signs?

Yes. Edge-lit signs, LED bases and light boxes are built to your drawing and your lighting spec: light source, color temperature, power and plug standard, switch or dimmer, cable exit and any certification marks your market needs. We supply the lighting as part of the sign. We do not design the sign or the lighting; send both specs with the drawing.

How much do custom acrylic signs cost?

Signs are quoted from your drawing: size and thickness, how the graphic is applied (UV print, reverse print, engraving, layered letters), the mounting hardware, lighting if any, packing and quantity. The nearest published references are an A5 slant-back sign holder in 3 mm clear acrylic at $6.80 each for 100 pieces and $2.90 at 1,000, a tactile wall sign system with standoffs at $5.25 each for 500, and a 100 × 60 × 20 mm logo block at $12 each for 100 and $7 at 500, all FOB Shenzhen.

How are acrylic signs mounted?

Most wall signs hang on brushed or polished stainless standoffs through drilled holes. Others use concealed French cleats, double-sided mounting tape, hidden magnets set into rear pockets, or slot into a countertop base. Tell us the wall or surface and whether the sign must be removable; the hardware is fixed on the paid sample and packed with each sign.

What do you need to quote a sign program?

Send a vector or dimensioned drawing for each design, the full list of variable text, the quantity per design, the mounting method, any lighting spec, and the delivery address or addresses. A sketch with key dimensions can start the quote; the approved drawing and paid sample control production. We reply within 24 hours.
