Custom acrylic smoke shop display cases — lockable vape counter cases, wall shelves, and sign holders in a vape store interior

Smoke Shop Display Cases

Your highest-margin inventory is also your smallest and easiest to pocket — and it still has to sell from behind the counter.

Smoke shop display cases are custom acrylic retail fixtures built for vape stores, tobacconists, and head shops — lockable countertop cases, tiered counter risers, wall shelves, and sign holders that keep small high-value SKUs fully visible to customers while access stays with staff. Wetop Acrylic manufactures custom acrylic vape displays, tobacco display racks, and cigar display cases — also called plexiglass or PMMA fixtures — factory direct from our Shenzhen plant for independent shops, vape chains, and store buildout firms.

Why Smoke Shops Use Acrylic Displays

Smoke shops use acrylic because pods, cartridges, and premium lighters are small, expensive, and easy to pocket, so one fixture has to give optical-clear visibility and a lock at once. We build each acrylic vape display to your counter and lock spec at our ISO 9001 factory in Shenzhen — MOQ 100 pieces, samples in 3–5 days, production in 15–20 days.

Every unit is inspected against your approved sample before it ships — 100% inspection, not spot checks — because a lock that binds on 6 of 40 cases costs more to fix in-store than it did to build.

Fixture specWhat we build to
Lock mechanismFlat-key cam-lock as the default for busy counters; tubular for high-value SKUs, since its seven-pin ring resists picking and bumping far better than a flat key; field-resettable push-code where several staff share access.
Keying schemeKeyed alike, keyed differently, or master-keyed. The same scheme carries across countertop and wall-mounted cases in one order, with key tags and a key map on master-keyed sets.
Acrylic thickness5–8 mm on lockable cases — below 5 mm the material around the cylinder is materially easier to crack. 3–5 mm on open risers and sign holders; wall shelves sized by span and load.
Door & accessFront-hinge for staff-side counter cases, sliding back-access for wall-mounted units, drop-front for tall narrow builds, lift-off lid with a lock-down screw. Chosen by who opens the case more often.
Printed noticesUV print for full color, silk-screen for single color, laser engraving for a permanent frosted mark. Age-verification wording, warning statements, and license numbers supplied and confirmed by you.

Lockable & Staff-Controlled

Disposables, pods, and torch lighters are the classic reach-in loss. Acrylic builds cleanly into a lockable case that still shows the product — deterrence without hiding your margin behind a cabinet door.

Built for Small SKUs

A 60 ml bottle and a 15 g pouch both disappear on a flat shelf. Compartmented trays and stepped risers face every SKU at the same angle, so a crowded counter still reads as a planogram.

Survives Counter Traffic

Acrylic resists shattering and wipes clean of resin, ash, and fingerprints. Compared with glass showcases it takes daily handling without the chipped edges that make a shop look tired by year two.

Four Smoke Shop Display Scenarios

The Lockable Vape Counter

Lockable acrylic countertop vape display case holding pods and disposables at a vape store register

The register run is where the shop makes its money and where it loses it. A countertop vape display case puts disposables, pods, and cartridges under the customer's eye at arm's length while the door stays on the staff side. We build these as countertop cases at 5–8 mm with a flush cam-lock, or step up to a tubular cylinder when the case is holding several hundred dollars of stock at a time. Where a SKU is cheap enough to leave open, the same counter run takes an open vape display stand instead — a stepped riser that faces the impulse row without a door.

For a chain, the useful part is the keying. Keyed-alike sets let one key move a floor associate through every fixture in the store; master-keyed sets give managers and loss prevention a single override while each store keeps its own key. The full mechanism comparison — cam versus tubular versus combination, and where each one stops working — sits on our lockable display case page.

Back-Bar Wall Shelves and the Glass Wall

Acrylic smoke shop wall shelves display holding e-liquid bottles and boxed devices on a back-bar wall

Behind the counter, a smoke shop wall shelves display carries the depth of range that makes a shop worth visiting — e-liquid by flavor, boxed devices by brand, glassware stepped by size. Acrylic wall shelves mount on concealed brackets so the shelf line reads as a floating edge rather than a rack, and clear shelving keeps the wall color and lighting doing the visual work instead of the fixture.

Shelf thickness is a load question, not a preference. Tell us the span and what sits on it — a 900 mm shelf of 60 ml bottles and a 900 mm shelf of glass water pipes are different builds — and we size the acrylic and the bracket together. Where the same wall needs an enclosed run for collectible or high-value pieces, wall-mounted cases drop into the same shelf line on French cleat or standoff mounts.

Cigarette and Tobacco Back Counter

Acrylic retail cigarette display and tobacco display rack behind a convenience store counter

A retail cigarette display is a facing problem before it is anything else: many narrow SKUs, all the same shape, all needing to stay faced through a shift. We build acrylic tobacco display rack rows with fixed dividers sized to your pack depth, and stepped tiers for pouches, tins, and rolling papers so the second row is readable over the first.

What that fixture looks like depends entirely on your market. Where open display is permitted, it is an open back-counter rack. Where product must sit behind closed doors, the same layout becomes a sliding-door cabinet run. Where it must be locked, it becomes a lockable case. Send us the requirement you are working to and we build to it — we do not certify any fixture as compliant, and we do not guess at your regulator's wording.

Cigar Display, Outside the Humidor

Be clear about what acrylic does here: a cigar display case is a display case, not a humidor. Acrylic is not a sealed humidity-controlled environment, and we do not build Spanish cedar linings or humidification systems into these fixtures. Aging inventory belongs in a walk-in or cabinet humidor.

What acrylic does well is everything around it — boxed and cellophane-wrapped cigars, singles moving to same-day sale, and the accessory wall of cutters, torch lighters, ashtrays, and travel cases. Those are exactly the small, high-value, easy-to-pocket items a lockable countertop case is built for, faced on tiered risers with engraved or printed price cards in sign holders. If you are choosing between a countertop case and an open riser for this counter, our countertop display buyer guide lays out the trade-off.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a factory or a trading company?

We are the factory. Wetop Acrylic has run a 5,000 m² ISO 9001 certified plant in Shenzhen since 2008, with 65+ workers doing the cutting, bending, polishing, printing, and assembly in-house. Nothing is brokered out to a third-party workshop. That matters on smoke shop fixtures because lock fit, door clearance, and edge polish are the details a middleman cannot control — and because you talk to the people who actually cut the acrylic when a spec changes mid-run.

What is the MOQ for smoke shop display cases, and can you handle a multi-store rollout?

MOQ is 100 pieces per design. For a chain we produce every unit from one approved sample, so store 1 and store 40 get the same dimensions, same lock, same branding. Multi-store buyers usually split the run into batches keyed to store opening or reset dates — tell us the schedule and we confirm the batch plan with the quote.

Can you build lockable vape display cases, and what lock options are there?

Yes — a lockable vape display case is a standard build for us. Flat-key cam-locks are the default: of the three options here they are the lowest-profile and lowest-cost, and the fastest for staff at a busy counter. Tubular locks are the upgrade for higher-value SKUs, because the seven-pin ring resists picking, raking, and bumping far better than a flat key. Field-resettable push-code combination locks suit shops where several staff share access and lost keys are the real cost. Keys can be keyed alike, keyed differently, or master-keyed across the whole order. One limit worth stating plainly: no acrylic case is forced-entry rated. Acrylic deters reach-in and walk-up theft, not a pry bar.

Can you print age-restriction and compliance notices onto the display?

Yes. We reproduce age-verification notices, warning statements, and license numbers by UV printing for full-color, silk-screen for single-color, or laser engraving for a permanent frosted mark that will not scuff off the counter. You supply the exact wording your state or country requires and confirm it is correct — we reproduce it faithfully at the size and position you specify. We do not write or vet the wording ourselves.

Do tobacco display rules affect what fixture I should order?

They decide it. Rules differ by country and by state: some markets restrict open display of tobacco entirely, some require product behind the counter or inside a closed cabinet, and flavored-vape restrictions change what you can stock in the first place. The fixture follows from that — open wall shelving where display is permitted, a closed back-bar cabinet where it is not, a lockable case where product must be secured. Tell us the requirement you are working to and we build to it. We do not certify any fixture as legally compliant; that determination rests with your regulator and your compliance team.

Do you make cigar display cases, and do they keep cigars humidified?

We make cigar display cases; they are not humidors. Acrylic is a display material, not a sealed humidity-controlled environment, and we do not build Spanish cedar linings or humidification systems. In practice shops use acrylic for boxed and cellophane-wrapped cigars, singles moving to same-day sale, and the accessory wall — cutters, lighters, ashtrays, travel cases — while aging inventory stays in a walk-in or cabinet humidor. If you need controlled humidity, buy a humidor and use acrylic for everything around it.

What acrylic thickness do you use for smoke shop fixtures?

5–8 mm on lockable cases. Below 5 mm the material around the lock cylinder becomes materially easier to crack, which is why we run 8 mm on the high-value builds. Open counter risers and sign holders run 3–5 mm because they carry weight rather than resist entry. Wall shelves are specified by span and load — we size the thickness and bracket together once you tell us shelf length and what sits on it.

Can you ship DDP to the US, and what are your payment terms?

We quote FOB Shenzhen by default and can also quote CIF or DDP to your door if you would rather not manage the freight leg. Payment is 30% deposit with 70% before shipment, by T/T, PayPal, or Western Union. Paid samples ship in 3–5 days and production runs 15–20 days; we reply to any quote request within 24 hours.
