Countertop Acrylic Display Cases
Small-footprint cases built for the counter you actually have. Lockable, rotating, tiered — every format, custom sized.
A countertop acrylic display case is a small-footprint enclosed acrylic box that sits on a retail counter, point-of-sale station, or tabletop surface to protect and showcase merchandise. Wetop Acrylic manufactures custom tabletop acrylic display cases — also called counter acrylic display cases or plexiglass countertop cases — for cosmetics counters, jewelry retailers, bakery cafes, electronics retail, c-store impulse-buys, and hotel front-desk merchandising. Open-front cubes, hinged doors, sliding panels, multi-tier risers, rotating spinners, and lockable POS formats. MOQ 50 pieces.

Six Countertop Case Formats
Six format families cover every countertop display job we get RFQs for: open-front cube cases (the simplest), hinged-door cases (cosmetics/jewelry counters), sliding-door cases (electronics retail), multi-tier riser cases (bakery and tiered merchandising), rotating spinner cases (browseable retail fixtures), and lockable POS cases (impulse-buy security). Pick the format closest to your job — we custom-size the case to your counter footprint and merchandise.

How a Countertop Case Joins Together
A typical mid-size countertop display case is roughly 300mm wide × 200mm deep × 250mm tall, built from 4mm acrylic with 45-degree mitered corner joints and an optional magnetic lid. The mitered joint hides the acrylic edge inside the seam — making the case look like it was molded from a single sheet rather than glued together. The diagram below shows the cross-section at the top corner where the lid meets the case wall.
For full construction options (joint styles, edge profiles, polishing), see our Acrylic Display Cases hub page.
Who Buys Countertop Display Cases From Us
Countertop acrylic display cases are ordered by six main B2B segments: bakery and cafe operators (tiered pastry cases), jewelry and watch retailers (felt-lined cam-locked cases), cosmetics counter merchandising teams (multi-tier riser displays), electronics and accessory retailers (sliding back-door cases with anti-theft tethering), c-store and convenience retail (lockable POS cases for impulse buys), and hotel/restaurant front-desk merchandising. Each segment has different lock, lighting, and shelving requirements.

Bakery & Cafe Counter Displays
Tiered countertop cases for pastries, cookies, and grab-and-go items. Magnetic-seal lids for hygiene; UV-stable acrylic for under-light counters.

Jewelry & Watch Counter Cases
Felt-lined or velvet-lined cases with cam-lock doors and integrated LED side-edge lighting. Standard for retail jewelry counters and watch boutiques.

Cosmetics Counter Merchandising
Multi-tier riser cases for prestige cosmetics counters — lipstick, fragrance, skincare. UV-printed branded back panels and base plinths.

Electronics & Accessory Retail
Sliding back-door cases for phones, earbuds, and accessories. Keyed cam-locks, anti-theft tethering pre-drilled, retail-counter footprint.

Convenience & Impulse-Buy
Lockable POS cases at the checkout counter — vape, lighters, premium SKUs. Compact footprint, single-key access for staff.

Hotel / Restaurant Front-Desk Merchandising
Branded countertop cases for amenity sales, gift-card displays, and signature retail items at hotel concierge or restaurant entrance counters.
Need a deeper lockable-security build? See our lockable display cases sub-page. For the broader bakery industry merchandising context (cold-chain refrigerated cases, fixture programs, full retail buildouts), see our food & bakery displays application page.
Acrylic Bakery & Pastry Counter Cases
Bakery and pastry counter cases are the largest single use of countertop acrylic cases in our shop. They are non-refrigerated — built for dry pastries, breads, cookies, donuts, and shelf-stable confections — and chosen over glass for weight (acrylic is roughly 50% lighter), shatter-safety in food prep zones, and cost (typically 30–50% less than equivalent glass at the same dimensions). Acrylic does scratch more easily than glass; it also deforms above 80°C / 180°F. If your use case is refrigerated dairy/cream pastries or hot-food display, you need a commercial refrigerated case from a refrigeration vendor — outside our scope. For general bakery industry merchandising and full retail buildout context, see our food & bakery displays application page.
Seven Bakery & Pastry Case Formats
Single-Tier Counter Cases
Small bakery and donut/cookie display. One open level under a lift-off lid or hinged front door. Footprint typically 300–500mm wide.
Multi-Tier Tiered Cases
Pastry boutiques. 2–4 stepped acrylic shelves stacked vertically, each shelf back-row higher than front-row for line-of-sight merchandising of macarons, eclairs, mini-cakes.
Self-Serve Hopper Cases
Cookies, bagels, dry pastries with hinged lid. Customer lifts the lid, takes the item with provided tongs. Optional drip tray base for crumb capture.
Bread / Loaf Display Cases
Long horizontal cases for artisan breads, baguettes, sliced loaves. Sliding back-access door for staff restock, hinged or magnetic front for customer view. Vent slots optional for breads that breathe.
Single-Item Pedestal Cases
Wedding cakes, signature pastries, feature display. Tall acrylic cylinder or square cover over a raised base plinth. Lift-off lid; locking down-spec available for venue events.
Cube / Cake-Pop Cases
Small enclosed acrylic cubes for cake pops, macarons, truffles, single-serve confections. Magnetic-seal lid, dust-tight, often grouped on a multi-cube tray.
Hotel Breakfast / Buffet Cases
Large multi-compartment self-serve cases for hotel breakfast bars and catering buffets. Hinged or sliding lid panels per compartment. Stainless-steel base or wood-front options.
Hygiene & Food-Safety Notes
Cleaning: mild soap and water only. NOT abrasive cleaners (will scratch the acrylic) and NOT alcohol on uncoated acrylic (causes stress crazing — fine cracks). Removable interior shelves are standard so the case can be cleaned between resets. Interior corners are typically rounded (5mm radius minimum) on bakery cases to prevent crumb traps. Food-grade acrylic with FDA-compliant material certificates is available on request — specify food-contact requirement at RFQ and we will supply the material partner's certification documentation alongside the order.
What an Acrylic Bakery Case Is NOT For
- Not for refrigerated dairy or cream pastries — no cold chain, no insulation. Use a commercial refrigerated case.
- Not for hot food — acrylic deforms above 80°C / 180°F. Use stainless steel or glass.
- Not for liquid storage — acrylic cases are not sealed against liquid; use food-grade containers inside the case if needed.
- Not for outdoor / direct-sun use — UV exposure over years can yellow standard acrylic. Specify UV-stable acrylic for window-counter installs.
Popular with: Independent bakeries · Cafe operators · Specialty pastry shops · Hotel breakfast / buffet operators · Wedding and catering specialty · Bakery supply distributors · Supermarket in-store bakeries

Send Us Your IdeaConfigure the Case to Match the Counter
Every countertop case we build is configured across six axes: base material, interior shelving, lighting, security, branding, and printing. The options below are the standard menu — anything outside this list is a sample-and-quote conversation, not a no.
Base material
- Acrylic base — clear, white, or black opaque. Most common; matches the case material.
- MDF (custom paint) — solid base for heavy cases, painted any RAL color.
- Wood veneer — oak, walnut, or beech for premium retail and hospitality counters.
- Fabric-wrapped plinth — felt, velvet, or linen for jewelry and luxury cosmetics.
Interior shelving
- Fixed shelves — bonded into the case walls, most rigid.
- Adjustable shelves — slot-track system, re-merchandise without a new case.
- Stepped riser shelves — multi-tier levels for bakery, jewelry, cosmetics.
- Glass-shelf option — substitute tempered glass for any acrylic shelf.
Lighting
- Top-down LED — wash light, ideal for tiered jewelry and cosmetics.
- Base uplight — illuminates the case from below for halo effect.
- Side-edge LED — even coverage for shelf-by-shelf merchandising.
- None — relies on counter ambient lighting.
Security
- Cam-lock door — keyed alike across an order; default for retail.
- Hidden magnetic catch — invisible release, opened with a magnetic key.
- Magnetic-seal lid — dust-tight without a lock.
- Tamper-evident seal — low-cost adhesive seal for short-term campaigns.
Branding
- Logo print — UV or silk-screen on the case face or header strip.
- Frosted-acrylic logo plate — bonded plaque, premium feel.
- Engraved set name — laser engraving on base or front face.
- Branded plinth — UV-printed or wrapped base panel.
Printing on case
- UV printing — full-color, high-detail graphics directly on acrylic.
- Silk-screen printing — solid-color logos, lowest per-unit cost.
- Laser engraving — permanent frosted-white mark, no ink.
- Hot stamping — gold or silver foil for premium retail.
Countertop Case Size Reference
Countertop display cases sit in three directional size bands based on counter footprint and merchandise volume. Use the table below as a starting point — actual case dimensions are sized to your products and counter space during sample approval, not picked from a catalog.
Sizes are directional, not spec-precise. The right case footprint depends on your counter depth, the products inside, and how much vertical room you have under signage or shelving above the counter. Send us your counter specs — we recommend a size and build a sample to confirm.
| Band | Width range | Typical use | Common formats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small countertop | |||
| Small | 250–400mm (10–16 in) | Single-product display, jewelry, single-SKU cosmetics, impulse buy | Open-front cube, hinged-door, lockable POS |
| Mid-size countertop | |||
| Mid | 400–600mm (16–24 in) | Multi-product retail, electronics & accessories, watch counter | Sliding-door, hinged-door, multi-tier riser |
| Large countertop / tabletop | |||
| Large | 600–900mm (24–35 in) | Tiered bakery cases, jewelry showcases, cosmetics counter programs | Multi-tier riser, rotating spinner, hinged-door |
| Custom / non-standard | |||
| Anything outside the 250–900mm range — narrow point-of-sale slots under 200mm, oversize tabletop displays above 900mm, irregular geometry to fit existing counter cutouts. Send us the counter footprint and merchandise list, we size the case to match. | |||
Sizes are starting points for quoting conversations. Built cases match the counter and product mix you send us, not a fixed catalog.

Send Us Your IdeaWhat Affects Countertop Case Pricing?
Countertop display case pricing depends on five factors: case size and acrylic thickness, format complexity (a rotating spinner has more parts than an open-front cube), security and lighting add-ons, branding method, and order quantity. A 300mm open-front cube case in 3mm clear acrylic with diamond-polished edges costs significantly less than a 600mm 3-tier cosmetics riser case with magnetic lid, top-down LED, UV-printed back panel, and fabric-wrapped plinth.
Case size & thickness
A small 250mm cube in 3mm acrylic costs a fraction of a 900mm tiered case in 5mm panels. Material volume scales with both footprint and wall thickness.
Format complexity
Open-front cubes are the most affordable. Hinged-door, sliding-door, multi-tier riser, and rotating spinner formats each add fabrication and assembly steps.
Security & lighting
Cam-locks (keyed alike) add parts cost. LED lighting adds an electrical sub-assembly with driver and wiring access. Magnetic seals are the cheapest dust-tight option.
Branding method
Silk-screen is the lowest-cost logo option. UV printing supports full-color graphics. Frosted-acrylic logo plates and hot stamping cost more but feel premium.
Order quantity
Per-unit cost drops sharply above 200 pieces. Most countertop case buyers order 200–2,000 units per run for a retail chain or counter program.

What is the standard size of an acrylic countertop display case?
There is no single standard size — countertop display case footprints depend on the products inside and the counter space available. As a directional guide: small countertop cases run 250–400mm wide (10–16 inches) for jewelry, single-cosmetic SKUs, and impulse buys; mid-size cases run 400–600mm wide (16–24 inches) for multi-product retail merchandising; large cases run 600–900mm wide (24–35 inches) for tiered bakery, electronics, or POS displays. We custom-build to your counter footprint and product mix — send us your products and the counter space and we size the case to fit.
Can the case be locked for impulse-buy security?
Yes. Lockable countertop cases are one of our highest-volume sub-categories — keyed cam-locks on hinged front or back doors, keyed alike across an order so one key opens every case in your installation. We also offer hidden magnetic catches with a release key for cases where the lock should be invisible, and tamper-evident security seals as a low-cost alternative for short-term campaigns. For deeper security treatment, see our dedicated lockable display case sub-page.
Do you build rotating countertop cases?
Yes. Rotating (spinner) countertop cases sit on a low-friction turntable bearing rated for retail handling — buyers can spin the case to browse without lifting it. Common formats include 4-sided sunglasses spinners, 3-sided cosmetics displays, and 360-degree jewelry showcases. The acrylic case sits on top of the turntable; the bearing is rated for hundreds of thousands of rotations. MOQ is 50 pieces.
What's the MOQ for retail counter cases?
Our MOQ is 50 pieces per design. That's our standard B2B minimum — it lets retail chains test a fixture in a few stores before rolling out to 200+ locations, and lets cosmetics brands run a counter program with one design across multiple counters. Mixed designs across one purchase order are fine, but each unique case size or configuration must hit 50 pieces.
Can I have my logo printed on the case?
Yes. Three branding methods on countertop cases: UV printing for full-color logos and graphics directly on the acrylic, silk-screen printing for one or two solid-color logos at the lowest per-unit cost, and laser engraving for a permanent frosted-white mark. Frosted-acrylic logo plates bonded to the case face are also popular for cosmetics counters where the look needs to feel premium. Branding location is usually the case front face, lower edge, or a dedicated header strip.
Do you offer countertop cases with internal shelves?
Yes. Internal shelving is one of the most-requested options for countertop merchandising. Three configurations: fixed shelves bonded into the case walls (most rigid, cleanest look), adjustable shelves on slot tracks (lets retail teams re-merchandise without ordering a new case), and stepped riser shelves (fixed multi-tier levels for bakery, jewelry, and cosmetics displays where the back row should sit higher than the front). Shelves can be clear acrylic, white opaque, or glass — confirmed during sample approval.
What's the difference between an acrylic display case and an acrylic sign holder?
A display case is an enclosed acrylic box that protects a product inside — five or six sides, often with a hinged or magnetic lid. A sign holder is an open stand that presents a printed insert (price card, menu, promo graphic) at eye level — no enclosure, no lid. They solve different jobs: cases protect physical merchandise, sign holders display printed messages. If you need an open countertop sign holder instead of an enclosed case, see our acrylic sign holders sub-page.
Do you build acrylic bakery and pastry display cases?
Yes. We build seven bakery and pastry case formats on the same MOQ as any countertop case: single-tier counter cases (donuts, cookies), multi-tier tiered cases (pastry boutiques), self-serve hopper cases (bagels, cookies with hinged lid), bread and loaf cases (long horizontal with sliding back), single-item pedestal cases (signature cake feature), cube and cake-pop cases (small enclosed cubes for macarons, truffles), and large hotel breakfast / buffet cases. All formats are non-refrigerated and built for dry pastries, breads, cookies, and donuts. See the bakery and pastry counter cases section below for full format details. For general bakery industry merchandising context, see our bakery and food displays application page.
Can I refrigerate an acrylic bakery case? Can I put hot food in it?
No on both counts. Acrylic cases are non-refrigerated — they have no cold chain, no insulation, and no condensation drainage. Use them only for dry-goods bakery and pastry display: breads, biscotti, donuts, cookies, dry cakes, macarons, truffles. Hot food is also a no — acrylic deforms above 80°C / 180°F and will cloud or warp from heat exposure. For refrigerated dairy or cream-filled pastry display, you need a commercial refrigerated case from a refrigeration vendor — outside our scope. Food-grade acrylic with FDA-compliant material certificates is available on request — specify food-contact requirement at RFQ.
What's the difference between an acrylic bakery case and an acrylic pastry case?
It's terminology, not product. Bakery typically means larger, multi-product cases for breads, donuts, and bagels — used in independent bakeries and supermarket in-store bakeries. Pastry typically means smaller, often tiered cases for fine-pastry retail like macarons, eclairs, and signature cakes — used in pastry boutiques and high-end cafes. We build both on the same MOQ; the case format depends on what you're displaying, not the word you use to describe your store.
