What is the minimum order for custom acrylic boxes?
Our standard production MOQ is 100 pieces per design, and each size counts as its own design because it needs its own cutting layout and setup. Several sizes or designs can share one purchase order and shipment, with each meeting its own 100 pieces; 50 of design A plus 50 of design B do not make one production run. Before production we build a paid sample (USD 200–500, never credited to the order) in 3–5 days so you can approve fit, closure, print, and finish.
How long does it take to produce custom acrylic boxes?
Sample production takes 3–5 days. Once you approve the sample, bulk production runs 15–20 days depending on complexity and quantity. Boxes with custom interior inserts, mixed-panel construction, or complex opening mechanisms may add 2–3 days. We ship FOB Shenzhen, with CIF and DDP available.
How much do custom acrylic boxes cost?

Which lid should I choose, and does a hinged lid cost more?
A lift-off lid is the simplest and most affordable closure. A sliding lid suits repeated access, magnets give a controlled unboxing feel, and a hinge keeps the lid attached; hinged, magnetic, and lockable closures add hardware and assembly, so they price above a lift-off lid at the same size. What wall thickness and lid clearance does an acrylic box with a lid need?
Scale the wall to the longest side: 3 mm for boxes under about 200 mm, 5 mm up to about 450 mm, and 8 mm or more beyond that. A 5 mm panel is roughly 4.6 times stiffer than 3 mm. A lift-off lid runs on about 0.3–0.5 mm of clearance per side, so it neither binds in a hot warehouse nor rattles; a lid spanning more than about 350 mm should go one thickness up. Every lid is seated on its own box during 100% inspection.
Can you add dividers and custom inserts to acrylic boxes?
Yes. We build removable divider grids, die-cut foam inserts shaped to your product, velvet or suede lining, and tiered compartment trays. Do you make multi-layer acrylic boxes and sample boxes?
Yes. A multi-layer acrylic box has 2 to 4 stepped or stacked levels inside one footprint, typically 15–45 cm wide with 5–6 mm walls, for cosmetics ranges, collectibles, and OEM or private-label sets. An acrylic sample box is a shallow lidded case, typically 20–35 cm, with a compartment insert for swatches, finishes, or product samples that sales teams carry to buyers. Both are made to order from 100 pieces per design.
Do you make food boxes, and are acrylic boxes watertight?
No to both. Wetop does not make food or dessert packaging (macaron, cake, chocolate, or other food-contact boxes) at any quantity, so our boxes are specified for non-food products. A standard bonded acrylic box is not sealed or pressure-rated either; if a box must resist dust or liquid, tell us the use case so the seam requirement can be reviewed before sampling.
What should I send an acrylic box supplier for a quote?
Send the inside dimensions (when a product must fit) or outside dimensions (when the box must fit a shelf or carton), quantity per design, opening method, color and thickness, insert needs, artwork, packaging, and destination. A CAD file, sketch, or reference photo with a target size is enough to start; we turn it into a production drawing for approval, and the quote lists product, sample, packaging, and freight term separately.
