Clear Acrylic Boxes

Cast acrylic (PMMA) transmits roughly 92% of visible light, which is slightly higher than ordinary glass, so a clear acrylic box reads as optically clear with a bright, water-clear look and no green edge tint. What buyers actually see depends on the sheet grade and the edge finish: we use cast acrylic for the clearest bodies, and flame-polished or diamond-polished edges so the walls stay glass-clear instead of frosted at the cut. If you want the opposite look — a soft, translucent, non-see-through box — we also make the same box in frosted acrylic. Tell us clear or frosted when you send your spec.

Yes — a lid is the most common request. We build clear acrylic boxes with a lift-off lid (drops on top, easiest to fill and empty), a hinged lid (stays attached, flips open), or a slide-on lid that friction-fits over the rim. For boxes that need to close snugly, we can add a stepped or recessed lip so the lid seats without a gap. The lid can match the body in clear acrylic, or contrast in frosted or colored acrylic. Buyers often ask for a lid that is 'easy to open and close' repeatedly — for that we recommend a lift-off or hinged lid over a tight press-fit.

Because every box is custom, there is no fixed size chart — we build to your dimensions. Common requests run from mini clear boxes around 5×5×5cm (favors, jewelry, small parts) up through desk-and-storage sizes of 15–25cm per side, to large clear storage boxes 30cm and up for bulkier goods. The one spec that changes with size is wall thickness: small boxes hold their shape in 1/8" (3mm) acrylic, mid-size boxes in 3/16" (5mm), and large or load-bearing boxes in 1/4" (6mm) or thicker so the walls stay rigid when full. Send us the outside or inside dimensions you need and we confirm the right thickness.

On the material side, acrylic can be produced in a food-contact grade that meets FDA 21 CFR and EU 10/2011 requirements, and we can specify that grade when your use requires it. On the construction side, a standard bonded or assembled acrylic box is not guaranteed watertight — the solvent-bonded seams are strong and clean but are not engineered as a liquid seal. If your box needs to hold liquid or be washed repeatedly, tell us up front so we can advise on seam construction and any gasketed lid; for dry goods, gifts, retail, and storage, a standard box is the right build.

Our MOQ is 50 pieces per design. That covers small mini-box runs, mid-size storage-box orders, and large-box programs alike. Below 50 the per-unit setup cost makes single boxes inefficient; the steepest per-unit price drop comes between 50 and a few hundred pieces, which is where most retail, packaging, and event buyers order. We build a production sample first — typically in 3–5 days — so you approve the exact box before we run the full quantity.

Choose clear when the contents are the point — retail product presentation, gift boxes, storage where you want to see what's inside at a glance, or any box meant to show off what it holds. Choose frosted when you want a softer, premium, semi-private look that hides clutter or diffuses the view — the box still reads as high-end acrylic but the contents are muted rather than fully visible. Both use the same PMMA material and the same build; it's purely a finish choice, and we can also mix them (clear body, frosted lid, or vice versa).

A clear acrylic box is a container — you put things in it, close a lid, and use it for storage, packaging, gifting, or organizing, and the box is handled, moved, and refilled. Yes. A clear acrylic box gives you a large, flat, optically clear panel that takes a logo well. We add branding by laser engraving (a permanent frosted-etch mark that catches the light on clear acrylic), UV printing (full-color, photo-quality artwork), or applied vinyl decal (the most affordable option, good for shorter runs).
