A standoff (or two-panel sandwich) frame gives the cleaner, frameless, floating look and is the choice for permanent graphics — swapping the poster means unscrewing the front caps. A snap frame has a hinged front edge that snaps open on all four sides, so staff can change the poster in seconds without tools or removing the frame from the wall — the right pick for retail promotions, menu boards, and cinema-style listings that rotate weekly. Standoff frames win on looks; snap frames win on swap speed.

Thickness scales with panel size to stop large sheets from bowing or sagging on the wall. As a general guide: 3mm suits posters up to 18×24; 24×36 needs 4–5mm to stay flat; and 30×40 and larger call for 5–6mm, or a two-panel sandwich build. A single clear panel over roughly 24×36 in only 3mm will visibly flex — that's the most common fit issue we head off before production. Double-panel builds weigh and cost more but give the most refined frameless look. For most retail and office rollouts, single-panel is the practical pick.
