Acrylic Plaques
Flat-panel acrylic awards built for your brand — every plaque printed with a different name, same production run.
An acrylic plaque is a flat, transparent or colored award panel used for employee recognition, corporate milestones, donor walls, and commemorative displays. Wetop Acrylic manufactures custom acrylic plaques — also called plexiglass plaques, perspex plaques, or lucite plaques — with UV printing, laser engraving, and hot stamping on 3–15mm PMMA. Variable data printing puts a unique name on every piece in one batch. MOQ 50 pieces, samples in 3–5 days.

Acrylic award plaques for employee recognition are flat, custom-printed panels given for service milestones, team achievements, and individual performance. Wetop manufactures recognition plaques with variable data printing — each plaque carries a unique recipient name and date while the design stays consistent across the batch.
Ordering 200 plaques for an annual awards ceremony? Every piece needs the same logo and border design, but a different name and title. Variable data UV printing handles this natively — no extra setup fee per variant, no manual alignment per piece.
We build recognition plaques in clear, frosted, black, and colored acrylic. Most clients choose 5–8mm clear acrylic with UV-printed graphics for full-color logos and photographic elements, or laser engraving for a tactile, premium feel. Desktop stands and easel backs are the most popular mounting options — recipients display them on their desks.

Corporate Milestone Plaques
Corporate milestone plaques mark company anniversaries, product launches, IPO completions, and organizational achievements. These plaques carry the company brand identity — typically UV-printed with full-color logos, metallic hot stamping for premium finishes, and laser-engraved dates or figures.
A 25th anniversary plaque for the lobby. A product launch commemoration for every team member. An IPO tombstone-style flat award for each investor. Milestone plaques differ from standard recognition awards in their emphasis on brand presentation — they represent the company, not just a recipient.
We manufacture milestone plaques in clear acrylic for a modern, transparent look or black acrylic for a dramatic contrast with metallic text. Multi-layer construction — stacking a printed clear panel on a colored back panel — creates a dimensional effect without the cost of a full 3D trophy.
Popular with: large corporate offices · Tech startups (funding rounds) · Real estate firms · Financial institutions · Government agencies
MOQ: 50 pieces · Sample: 3–5 days
Donor & Sponsor Wall Plaques
Acrylic wall plaques for donor recognition are modular, wall-mounted panels that display contributor names in a permanent, professional format. Wetop manufactures donor wall systems with individual name plaques, tiered giving-level sections, and expandable mounting rails — allowing new donors to be added without replacing the entire display.
A non-profit donor wall isn't a one-time project — it grows over years. We design modular acrylic donor wall systems where individual name plaques slot into wall-mounted rails or magnetic panels. New donors get a new plaque added to the wall; the existing display stays intact.
Giving-level tiers (Platinum, Gold, Silver) use different plaque sizes, colors, or finishes to distinguish contribution levels visually. Header panels carry the organization's logo and mission statement.
| Spec | Options |
|---|---|
| Individual plaque sizes | 50 × 25mm (name only) to 150 × 75mm (name + message) |
| Header panel | Up to 600 × 300mm with full-color UV printing |
| Mounting system | Aluminum rail, magnetic panel, French cleat, standoff pins |
| Expandability | Modular — add plaques without replacing existing display |
| Tier differentiation | Size, color, metallic finish, or border style per giving level |
Popular with: Non-profit organizations · Universities · Hospitals · Houses of worship · Museums · Community foundations
MOQ: 50 pieces · Sample: 3–5 days
Real Estate Deal Toy Plaques
Closing a commercial real estate transaction? Flat acrylic deal toy plaques commemorate the deal with printed property images, transaction details, and firm logos — a lighter, more affordable alternative to block-style acrylic deal toys. They're popular for transactions where every stakeholder receives a memento — 20–50 pieces per closing is typical.
Most real estate deal toy plaques use 8–10mm clear acrylic with UV-printed property photos on one side and transaction details on the reverse. Hot-stamped metallic text (gold or silver) on key figures adds a premium touch.
Popular with: Commercial real estate brokerages · Investment banks · Law firms · Private equity · Development companies
MOQ: 50 pieces · Sample: 3–5 days
Memorial & Dedication Plaques
Memorial acrylic plaques serve as tribute panels, building dedications, and scholarship nameplates. Laser engraving is the preferred technique for memorials — the etched text is permanent, tactile, and resistant to fading. For outdoor or high-traffic installations, we recommend 10–15mm acrylic with UV-stabilized material to prevent yellowing.
Popular with: Universities · Municipal governments · Corporate campuses · Religious institutions · Memorial foundations

Custom Name Plaques
Acrylic name plaques — desk nameplates, door signs, and executive identifiers — are one of our highest-volume repeat products. HR departments order 50–500 pieces at a time as new employees onboard. Variable data printing makes each nameplate unique within a single production batch.
Standard configurations: 200 × 50mm desk nameplate in 5mm clear acrylic with UV-printed name and title, or 250 × 75mm door sign in frosted acrylic with laser-engraved text. Both include hardware — aluminum desk stand or adhesive wall mount.
Popular with: Corporate offices · Co-working spaces · Hotels · Medical practices · Law firms · Schools
Get a Name Plaque QuotePrinting & Engraving Options for Acrylic Plaques
Four printing and engraving methods work on acrylic plaques: UV printing, hot stamping, laser engraving, and silk-screen printing. Each produces a different visual and tactile result. The right choice depends on your design complexity, color needs, and whether the plaque requires variable data (unique text per piece).
Choosing the wrong printing method is the most common mistake in plaque ordering. UV printing gives you full-color photographic detail but sits on the surface. Laser engraving is permanent and tactile but monochrome. Hot stamping adds metallic shine but works best for text and simple logos.
| Method | Colors | Durability | Variable Data | Tactile | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| UV Printing | Full color (CMYK + white) | Surface-level; scratch-resistant coating available | Yes — native | Smooth | Full-color logos, photos, complex graphics |
| Hot Stamping | Metallic foils (gold, silver, bronze) | Excellent — foil bonds to acrylic | Manual per piece | Slight emboss | Premium text, metallic accents, executive awards |
| Laser Engraving | Monochrome (frosted white on clear) | Permanent — etched into material | Yes (slower) | Frosted texture | Text-heavy, memorial, edge-lit plaques |
| Silk-Screen | 1–4 spot colors | Excellent — ink bonds to acrylic | No | Smooth | Large batches, bold spot colors |
Edge-Lit Engraving: Making Text Glow
Laser-engrave text into clear acrylic, then mount the panel on an LED base. Light enters the acrylic edge and travels through the panel via total internal reflection — only escaping where the laser has etched the surface. The result: engraved text glows while the rest of the plaque stays transparent. Works best with 8–15mm clear acrylic and deep engraving passes. LED base included (white, warm white, or RGB color-changing).

How to Display Your Plaque
Desktop Stand
The plaque sits upright in a slot-groove base — aluminum, acrylic, or brushed metal. The base grips the bottom edge of the plaque, so it stands freely on a desk or shelf with no back support. Available in clear, black, or brushed aluminum. The most common choice for individual recognition awards.
Wall Mount
Standoff pins (stainless steel or brushed aluminum) hold the plaque 10–15mm off the wall surface, creating a floating effect. Standard 2-point or 4-point configurations. Hardware and template included.
Easel Back
Attached acrylic or metal easel folds out from the back of the plaque. Freestanding on any flat surface without a separate stand. Convenient for awards that travel — events, ceremonies, desk display afterward.
Acrylic vs Glass vs Crystal Plaques
Acrylic plaques weigh 50% less than glass, resist shattering, and cost significantly less than crystal — while accepting full-color UV printing that glass and crystal cannot. Crystal offers superior optical clarity and prestige weight. The right material depends on your budget, quantity, and how the plaque will be used.
| Property | Acrylic (PMMA) | Glass | Crystal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weight | Light (1.19 g/cm³) | Heavy (2.5 g/cm³) | Heavy (2.5–3.5 g/cm³) |
| Shatter resistance | High — won't shatter on impact | Low — shatters into sharp fragments | Low — chips and cracks |
| Optical clarity | 92% light transmission | 90–91% light transmission | 91–93% light transmission |
| Full-color printing | Yes — UV print, silk-screen | Limited — mostly sandblast/engrave | Limited — mostly sandblast/engrave |
| Edge-lit capability | Yes — total internal reflection | No | No |
| Shipping breakage | Near zero (under 0.5%) | 3–8% typical | 3–8% typical |
| Cost (relative) | $ | $$ | $$$ |
| Perceived prestige | Modern, clean | Traditional | Highest — heavy, refractive |
| Best for | Bulk awards, full-color, donor walls, variable data | Small-batch premium, traditional look | Executive gifts, top-tier recognition |
When to choose acrylic: You need full-color printing, variable data (different name per piece), bulk quantities (100+), or shatter-proof durability. Acrylic is also the only material that supports edge-lit LED effects.
When to choose crystal: The award is for C-suite executives or high-profile recognition where perceived prestige and weight matter more than cost. Crystal's refractive sparkle is unmatched — but it doesn't accept full-color printing.

Get a Free QuoteWhat Affects Acrylic Plaque Pricing?
Acrylic plaque pricing depends on six factors: size and thickness, printing method, variable data complexity, mounting hardware, packaging, and order quantity. We don't publish fixed prices because every plaque is custom — but here's what moves the number.
Size & Thickness
A 150 × 200mm plaque in 5mm acrylic costs a fraction of a 300 × 400mm plaque in 10mm. Size is the primary cost driver.
Printing Method
UV printing is most cost-effective for full-color. Hot stamping adds a per-impression cost. Laser engraving is priced per minute. Combining methods costs more.
Variable Data
Unique name per plaque has no extra setup cost with UV printing. Laser engraving variable data is slower per unit. Silk-screen cannot do variable data.
Mounting Hardware
Clear acrylic desktop stand is most economical. Brushed aluminum stands, stainless steel standoff pins, and custom easel backs each add to per-unit cost.
Packaging
Standard poly-sleeve is included. Velvet-lined presentation boxes, foam inserts, and custom-branded packaging are available at additional cost.
Order Quantity
Unit cost drops significantly at 200, 500, and 1,000+ pieces. A 500-piece recognition order costs substantially less per plaque than a 50-piece run.

Production in 15–20 daysFrequently Asked Questions
Can each plaque in a batch have a different name or text?
Yes. Variable data printing lets us print a unique name, title, date, or message on every plaque in a single production run — no extra setup fee per variant. This is how most corporate awards programs work: same design, different recipient on each piece. UV printing handles variable data natively. Laser engraving can also do it but runs slower per unit. MOQ still applies to the total batch, not per variant.
What is the smallest acrylic plaque you can make?
We manufacture acrylic plaques as small as 75mm × 50mm (about business-card size) in 3mm thickness — common for desk nameplates and small recognition tokens. Most award plaques range from 150mm × 200mm to 300mm × 400mm. There's no upper limit on plaque size as long as it fits within a single acrylic sheet (typically 1200mm × 2400mm).
How does edge-lit engraving work on acrylic plaques?
Edge-lit engraving uses laser-etched text or graphics on a clear acrylic panel combined with an LED base that shines light into the panel's edge. The light travels through the acrylic via total internal reflection and only escapes where the laser has etched the surface — making engraved areas glow while the rest stays transparent. The effect works best on 8–15mm clear acrylic with deep engraving passes.
What are bulk pricing tiers for acrylic plaques?
Unit cost drops significantly with volume. The biggest price break happens between 50 and 200 pieces as setup costs are spread across more units. Orders above 500 pieces see further reductions. Five factors drive plaque pricing: size, thickness, printing method, variable data complexity, and mounting hardware. Send us your specs with quantity — we quote within 24 hours.
How are acrylic plaques packaged for shipping?
Standard packaging uses individual polyfoam sleeves with edge protectors inside corrugated boxes — sufficient for most B2B shipments. For presentation-ready awards, we offer velvet-lined gift boxes, custom-branded packaging, and foam-insert cases. We ship FOB Shenzhen; CIF and DDP are available for door-to-door delivery. Breakage rate on standard packaging is under 0.5%.
