Acrylic trophy bases
A trophy stands on its own acrylic base, on a separate pedestal, or on a column pillar in clear, black or frosted acrylic. An LED base lights the whole shape through the trophy’s milled flat bottom; battery-powered and USB-C bases cost the same, and every LED base is function-tested. LED types are listed in the FAQ below.
What affects acrylic trophy pricing?
Trophies are quoted per specification. These choices set the unit price; send them and we reply with an exact per-unit quote.
Multi-layer bonded trophies are the most affordable for their visual impact; freestanding CNC-cut shapes cost more because they use thicker sheet and longer cut paths; column builds add a machined pillar and vary with height. A 200 mm trophy in 10 mm acrylic costs significantly less than a 400 mm trophy in 20 mm. Height above 300 mm needs thicker material, which compounds cost. A single-color LED base is the lowest-cost lighting option. Unit cost drops significantly at 200 and 500+ pieces.

Acrylic vs crystal and metal
Acrylic trophies cost 40–60% less than crystal and weigh about half as much. Acrylic rarely breaks in transit, while crystal typically loses 3–8% to breakage; cast acrylic takes up to 17 times the impact of glass, and it accepts full-color UV printing, any CNC-cut outline and LED lighting. What is the minimum size for a 3D freestanding acrylic trophy?
The smallest practical freestanding trophy is about 80mm tall with a minimum wall thickness of 5mm at the thinnest point. Below that, the acrylic becomes too fragile at narrow features — a star point or wing tip thinner than 5mm can snap under handling. For trophies with intricate outlines, we recommend 10mm+ material thickness and 150mm+ overall height. We review every custom shape for structural integrity before production.
What LED base options are available for acrylic trophies?
Three LED base types: single-color (white or warm white, the most popular), RGB color-changing (cycles through 7 colors or holds one color via remote), and programmable (custom color sequences, logos projected through clear acrylic). LED bases are powered by USB-C or 3×AAA batteries — battery-powered for event table displays, USB for permanent desk display. The base connects to the trophy via a precision-milled flat bottom that sits flush on the LED surface.
Can multi-layer trophies combine different colors and finishes?
Yes — that's the point of multi-layer construction. A typical 3-layer trophy might stack a clear front panel, a colored center panel (blue, black, or custom Pantone), and a frosted back panel. Each layer can have its own printing or engraving. Layers are bonded with optical-grade adhesive or held with precision alignment pins. How much do custom acrylic trophies cost compared to crystal?
Acrylic trophies cost 40–60% less than crystal trophies of equivalent size and complexity. A 200mm acrylic trophy with UV printing and an LED base costs significantly less than a comparably sized crystal trophy with sandblast engraving — and the acrylic version accepts full-color graphics that crystal cannot. The price gap widens further on large orders: acrylic unit costs drop steadily above 200 pieces, while crystal pricing stays relatively flat due to manual production.
