A LEGO acrylic display case is a clear enclosure that protects a built set from dust, fingerprints and UV fade, sized to the exact bounding box of the model. Also called plexiglass LEGO cases or display cases for Legos, they come with UV-filtering acrylic, magnetic or lift-off lids, wall-mount and shadow-box formats, and an optional engraved set-name plaque.

Yes. UV-filtering acrylic is available on every LEGO display case we build. It reduces UV exposure while keeping the case optically clear; the exact performance depends on the selected sheet grade, and we provide its datasheet with the quote. The material typically adds 15–25% to the case cost.
What is the MOQ for LEGO display cases?
Our MOQ is 100 pieces per design. That's a B2B minimum — we work with LEGO retailers, exhibition organizers, AFOL community group buys, and corporate gifting programs that order 100–5,000 units per run. Mixed designs can share one purchase order and shipment, but each unique case size or configuration must reach 100 pieces.
Can you build cases for LEGO MOCs (custom builds) without standard set dimensions?
Yes. We build cases to any custom dimension — MOCs, dioramas, modified sets, or built-up Architecture skylines. Send us a photo with rough measurements (length, width, height at the widest points, including any protruding antennas or cranes) and we'll quote a precision-fit case. Sample fitment is verified before bulk production.
Do you build cases for minifigure collections rather than built sets?
Yes — a LEGO minifigure display case is a different build from a set cover. Instead of one open volume, we mill a grid of individual bays so each minifig stands in its own slot, under a single lift-off or magnetic dust cover, in tabletop or wall-mount format. Send us one minifig with its accessories fitted and the bay count you want: the cape, backpack, or weapon usually sets the bay clearance, not the torso, which is the measurement most minifigure case briefs get wrong. Terms are the same as any other case here — MOQ 100 pieces per design, sample in 3–5 days, production in 15–20 days.
Do you ship LEGO display cases internationally?
Yes. We ship to 25+ countries — primarily the USA and Europe. Default shipping term is FOB Shenzhen; CIF and DDP are available for door-to-door delivery. Cases are flat-packed where possible to reduce freight, with optional pre-assembled shipment for retail-ready orders.
Can you sell me an empty case for a LEGO project I'll mount myself?
We're a B2B custom manufacturer with a 100-piece MOQ per design, so we don't make single cases for individual hobby builds. If you're a LEGO retailer, an exhibition organizer, or an AFOL club organizing a group buy of 100 or more identical cases, send the set number or built dimensions and the quantity and we quote within 24 hours.
What thickness of acrylic do you recommend for a LEGO display case?
3mm is our entry option for small Speed Champions and Architecture cases. 5mm is the most popular thickness for Modular Buildings and mid-size sets — solid weight, premium feel. 8mm is used on large UCS Star Wars cases (Millennium Falcon, AT-AT, Razor Crest) where panel rigidity matters. We confirm the right thickness during sample approval against your specific set.
Are you a factory, or a trading company reselling cases from another plant?
A factory. Wetop has manufactured in Shenzhen since 2008 — today a 5,000 m² ISO 9001 certified plant, with 65+ people on the floor — cutting, bonding, polishing, printing, and the 100% inspection against your approved sample all under one roof. On a LEGO case the fit is decided by a milled groove and a magnet pocket, both cut to fractions of a millimeter, so it helps that a fit question reaches the person who cut them instead of a broker relaying it. That's also why samples come back in 3–5 days.
Does the built model get held in place, or does it just sit inside the case?
The case holds itself in place; the model sits on the base. The standard build is a 5-sided cover that drops into a precision-milled groove on the base plate, so the cover locates itself and can't slide off-square, with optional flush N52 magnets pulling it down for a tighter dust seal — no visible hardware either way. Inside, a felt-lined base adds friction under the build and cushions the underside, which is the usual answer for tall, narrow sets like the Botanical line where the vertical cover-on-base format keeps the footprint tight. We don't adhere or pin the model to the base: gluing a LEGO build is irreversible and it isn't our call to make on a set your customer owns. If you're shipping cases with models already installed, say so at RFQ so we can factor it into the base spec and packing before sampling. One thing to get right regardless — measure at the widest points, including protruding antennas, cranes, and sails, since that dimension sets the cover, not the box footprint.
