Diecast display case formats

Each format is drawn to your measured car, compartment count and back panel.

Hobby shop wall with six identical clear acrylic grid wall cases on standoffs, each holding rows of small die-cast cars

1:64 grid wall case

A back panel with keyhole or pre-drilled mounting holes, a bonded clear grid and a five-sided slip-on lid. The usual build for display brands and hobby-shop walls.

20, 36 or 48 compartments

Two clear acrylic model car cases on glossy black bases holding a red 1:24 sports car and a blue 1:43 sedan

Single case on a base

A clear cover that lifts off a black, clear or colored acrylic base, for 1:43, 1:24 and 1:18 models. The base can carry your logo.

1:43 to 1:18

Two columns of stackable clear acrylic single-car cases, each holding one small die-cast car on a white base

Stackable single-car case

Small cases whose top locates the base of the next, so collectors and shops build a column without loose stacking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a custom diecast display case cost?

It is quoted from your drawing: number of compartments, scale, acrylic thickness, back panel, lid, packing and quantity. We have no published die-cast case price. The closest published FOB Shenzhen references are a 500 × 400 × 80 mm wall shadow box in 5 mm clear acrylic with wall-mount hardware at $18–35 per unit for 100 pieces, a 250 × 150 × 100 mm six-compartment box in 4 mm clear acrylic at $8–15 for 200 pieces, and a 100 mm cube in 3 mm clear acrylic with a magnetic lid at $6–12 for 100 pieces. Send your drawing for an exact per-unit quote within 24 hours.

How many cars can one wall case hold?

As many as your grid allows. Common 1:64 layouts are 20 compartments (5 × 4), 36 (6 × 6) and 48 (8 × 6); larger scales hold fewer cars per case. The outside size follows from the compartment size times the count plus the wall thickness, so we draw it from your measured car, including mirrors and spoilers, and confirm the fit on the paid sample.

Is 3 mm acrylic thick enough for a 1:64 wall case?

It is a common choice for the grid and slip-on lid of a 1:64 case. The right thickness depends on the case size, how the back panel is mounted and whether the case ships with cars inside, so larger 1:24 and 1:18 cases usually move to a thicker sheet. We state the thickness of every part on the drawing and you check it on the sample before production.

Can one order mix back panel colors or case sizes?

Yes, as separate designs on one order. A black, white, clear or mirror back panel is a different design, and so is a different grid or scale, so each needs 100 pieces; they share one purchase order, one production run and one shipment. A logo or text change on the same case and color stays one design.

Can you pack each case for retail or online sale?

Yes. Each case can ship with protective film, the lid packed separately or fitted, and a printed retail box or a plain shipping-safe box with corner protection, counted into cartons for your warehouse. You supply the box artwork and any marketplace label files; we print and pack to your packing specification.

Do the cases need UV-filtering acrylic?

Only if the cars or their blister cards will sit in sunlight or bright shop light for long periods. Standard clear and UV-filtering acrylic are different sheet grades; if you specify UV filtering, we name the grade on the quote and supply its documentation rather than quoting a blanket percentage.

Do you make Hot Wheels display cases?

We make display cases sized for 1:64 die-cast cars, the scale that Hot Wheels and other die-cast brands use, for display brands, hobby retailers and collectible sellers, from 100 pieces per design. We are not affiliated with any die-cast brand and do not print brand names or logos we are not licensed to use; your own brand goes on the case.
