Start with the issued document

Start from the visual brief. Some institutions want a narrow clear edge that keeps the document dominant. Others want a wider block for a logo, donor name, school color, or cohort year. Draw those elements at final scale.

Do not copy one magnet count across every size. The supplier should propose a pattern based on panel size, thickness, insert, opening method, and approved sample. The buyer approves the opening feel and alignment; the factory records the hardware and position in the repeat file.

Control logos, names, and cohort versions

Institutional programs often share one physical frame across several artwork versions. A school may change graduation year, department, donor name, event, or logo lockup while keeping the panel size and mounting.

Create an artwork matrix with the frame SKU, insert size, orientation, artwork revision, quantity, carton mark, and approval status. Outline fonts, identify color references, and show print or engraving location on the frame drawing.
