What to confirm before your mahjong order

Every custom mahjong project runs under six published rules: reasonable NDAs after review; printed packaging from 1,000 pcs per design; you supply finished vector artwork; sheet colors from the in-stock board or a Pantone-matched sheet; custom size and layers; one real quantity quoted from the price book.

Before you order

Six decisions that shape your quote

Use these requirements to plan the order. Each product has its own minimum, and your quote identifies the agreed specification and scope.

  1. Reasonable NDAs can be signed after review

Define the protected information, permitted production access and responsibilities before sharing restricted files.

    Read the requirement

We can sign a reasonable NDA after reviewing and agreeing its terms. Your artwork and project files are used only for your project, never published or reused for another customer. The agreement should protect confidential project information without claiming exclusive ownership of common manufacturing methods. Send the proposed agreement before sharing confidential files.

  2. Custom printed packaging starts at 1,000 pcs per design

Printed folding boxes and rigid gift boxes have their own production minimum. Below it, you pay for tiles and accessories only and ship in the same protective pack the production run uses.

    Read the requirement

Without a qualifying printed-box order, tiles ship in standard shrink-wrap export packaging, included in the tile price. Custom mahjong mats, racks & pushers and acrylic cases start at 50 per design, shuffler cards at 200, rule cards and drawstring bags at 500. Dice are stock only, included with the tile sets, and never customised.

  3. You supply finished artwork

Your designer controls the artwork; we check it for manufacture before the sample.

    Read the requirement

We manufacture from outlined vector AI or PDF files. We do not supply editable templates or provide design, tracing, redraw, or vectorization services. Standard classic faces remain available when you do not have custom artwork.

  4. Sheet colours come from the stock board, or are Pantone-matched to order

A code from the in-stock sheet board adds no lead time and no fee, and a program of many colorways stays on one calendar. You approve the real sheet in your hand on the sample, which is a stronger standard than a number on a screen.

    Read the requirement

Pick one of the 199 in-stock sheet codes for each layer with no extra lead time, or give a Pantone target for a made-to-order sheet: about 15 days for the sheet plus about 10 extra days on the sample. Every colour is approved on the physical sample; a 100% exact match is never promised. UV-printed artwork colours follow the approved proof.

  5. Tile size and layer construction are fully custom

Standard bodies use the published price. Custom dimensions and layer combinations need a confirmed drawing and project quote.

    Read the requirement

Use one of the three reference bodies or specify your own length, width, height, and layer construction. A physical reference tile can be matched when measurements alone are not enough.

    Sizes and layer constructions →
  6. We quote the quantity you actually plan to order

Your actual quantity determines the accessory tiers, packing and freight on the quote.

    Read the requirement

Give one exact target quantity per design. Share the quantity you plan to order so we can price the relevant scope. If it is undecided, mark it TBD and tell us your launch plan. The published reference ladder already shows how the unit price moves with volume.

Tiles: USD 53–60 per set for UV print; USD 65–73 for either engraved fill, FOB Shenzhen. The 50–300-set band covers standard bodies and counts. Custom bodies and larger runs need a project quote.

Quote checklist

Complete briefs first

Complete briefs with declared artwork status are quoted within 24 hours and receive priority. Mark undecided choices as TBD; the 24-hour quote target applies when the information needed to price the project is complete.

The eight items: format and tile count · tile body and layer construction · engraving and artwork method · color targets · packaging · accessories · one exact quantity plus target date · artwork status. Mark open decisions TBD.

Sample fee

One full custom set, USD 500

The tile sample is one complete custom set built to your approved proof, USD 500 including courier, about 15–17 days after payment, production-ready files and proof approval; courier transit is additional. Racks and pushers USD 200 per set of 4, mat USD 50, packaging USD 200 per design. Every sample fee is paid separately and never credited to or deducted from the production order.

There are no single-tile or partial samples and no loose tiles or material packs. The set you approve becomes the acceptance standard for production.

What the sample includes →

Acceptance, no warranty period

Process-based, not time-based

Custom production is never sold with a warranty period. Quality commitments are process-based: 100% pre-shipment inspection against the approved physical sample, QC photos before shipment, a 7-day landed inspection window, and case-by-case remake of transit damage or spec failures with photo evidence.

Your files

How we protect your artwork and review an NDA

Your artwork and project files are used only to quote, sample and manufacture your order. We do not publish them or reuse them for another customer.

The product illustrations on these pages show reference designs, not another customer’s confidential set. Send a proposed NDA for review before sharing confidential files.

A publicly available design does not give us permission to reuse your artwork. NDA terms need to distinguish confidential project information from information already public and common industry methods. We review the proposed terms with you before agreement.

Who is behind the program →

Policy questions

The questions the policies answer

Do you sign NDAs or NNN agreements for mahjong projects?

We can sign a reasonable NDA after reviewing and agreeing its terms. Your artwork and project files are used only to quote, sample and manufacture your order, never published or reused for another customer. The agreement should protect your confidential project information without treating common manufacturing methods as your exclusive property. Please send the proposed agreement for review before sharing confidential files.

Can I order fewer than 1,000 printed boxes by paying more?

Printed folding boxes and magnetic gift boxes start at 1,000 pcs per design, with no paid exception below that minimum. Standard shrink-wrap export packaging is included with the tiles. Bags and rule cards have separate accessory minimums. A particular insert material or transit-test report is supplied only when specified and confirmed for the project.

I only have a PNG or a concept. Can you draw the tile faces for me?

No. We supply no editable templates and no design, redraw, tracing or vectorization service. Production runs from your dimensions plus outlined vector AI or PDF files, one artboard per unique face. Standard classic engraved faces remain available with no artwork at all.

Will you match my Pantone color exactly?

Two routes: the closest in-stock sheet code from the board on the colors page with no extra lead time, or a Pantone-matched sheet made to order, about 15 days for the sheet plus about 10 extra days on the sample, at the same price. On either route you approve the color on the physical sample and a 100% exact match is never promised. UV-printed artwork colors are separate and follow your files and the approved proof.

What quantity should I give you for a useful quote?

Share the quantity you plan to order per design, or a narrow range if you are deciding. The published price book covers reference configurations at 50–300 sets; larger runs and unlisted specifications need a project quote. Your quantity also sets the accessory tiers, packaging options and freight scope. Mark unresolved choices TBD so we can identify what is still needed. Complete briefs are quoted within 24 hours.

Does the sample fee come off the production invoice?

No. The tile sample is one full custom set, USD 500 including courier; racks and pushers USD 200 per set of 4, mat USD 50, packaging USD 200 per design — every one of them including courier. Every sample fee is paid separately and never credited to or deducted from production. The fee covers part of the one-off setup, engraving, finishing and inspection behind a single custom set.

What happens if my inquiry is missing some of the eight items?

Complete inquiries in the published 8-item format with declared artwork status are quoted within 24 hours. Complete briefs have priority. Mark open decisions as TBD and state the specific question you need help with; incomplete briefs may take longer and do not qualify for the 24-hour quote target.
