The mat is a sourced textile part; we specify and inspect it with the rest of your program, and the ladder above is the one the quote uses. Tiles, racks and cases are cast acrylic from our own line — the mat is not acrylic.

Which size fits which table
Compare the 31.5, 33 and 35 in reference sizes with the usable flat surface of your table. Our 33 × 33 in default mat stays within a 34 or 36 in square tabletop, provided no raised rim reduces that space. Check the layout with four racks and your tiles before approving the size.

You approve a print proof, then the physical mat — color, edge, backing and how the print reads under the tiles. When tiles and mats are both briefed, confirm their sample schedule together.

Production and the packing plan
The run is printed and inspected against the approved sample, then packed to the agreed plan. Consolidation with tiles is confirmed with the order.
A monogrammed mahjong mat in retail is one piece with one name embroidered on it. What we make is the brand version: your mark printed across every mat in the run, coordinated with your tile colorway and approved on separate physical mat and tile samples, packed with the tile sets.

What moves the price of a custom mat
For the standard 3 mm, 33 × 33 in mat, FOB Shenzhen: 50+ USD 7.50 · 100+ USD 7.30 · 500+ USD 6.50 per mat. Custom dimensions, materials and packing require a separate quote. Send the finished size, artwork, quantity and destination for an itemized response.
- Quantity. The only variable on the published ladder: USD 7.50 at 50, USD 7.30 at 100, USD 6.50 at 500 pcs, per mat, FOB Shenzhen.
- Size. 33 × 33 in is the priced default. A different size is confirmed on the quote — larger mats use more material, smaller ones rarely cost less.
- Print. Full-coverage artwork and a plain color are the same price. What changes the quote is a second design, not more ink.
- Packing. Confirm rolled or folded packing and whether it shares a shipment with tiles. Individual tubes or bags are separate packaging lines with their own minimums.
Who orders printed mats
Brand launches. A printed mat that matches the tile colorway is the accessory most brands add after racks. One artwork, one 50-pc run per design, coordinated with the tile order under the agreed packing plan.
Clubs and leagues. Club colors or a monogram printed across the run — the bulk version of a monogrammed mahjong mat, not single-piece embroidery. Members get the same mat the club table uses.
Corporate and event gifts. A co-branded mat coordinated with your gift program. Confirm the packout with the order; printed gift boxes start at 1,000 pcs per design.

How big does a mahjong mat need to be?
Big enough for four racks and the wall with the racks sitting inside the edge. On a standard 34–36 in card table that means 31.5 in (80 cm) as a minimum and 33 × 33 in (84 × 84 cm) as the comfortable size — the one we make by default. A 20 in rack is 50.8 cm long, so even the smallest of the three market sizes leaves about 5.75 in at each end of one centered rack; that calculation alone does not validate a four-rack layout. Any custom size is open; tell us the table.
What size mat for a 36-inch table?
Either 33 × 33 in (84 × 84 cm) with a 1.5 in margin on each side, or 35 in (89 cm) if you want the table covered almost edge to edge. A 35 in mat hangs over a 34 in table, so pick it only when the table size is fixed. If members play on mixed tables, 33 × 33 in fits both.
What is the MOQ and price for a custom mahjong mat?

Why do people use mahjong mats?
The rubber backing helps the mat grip the table. The cushioned playing surface reduces shuffle noise and provides a layer between the tiles and the tabletop. Your print can also mark a preferred playing layout. Check the actual surface, grip and handling on the sample.
Do you really need a mat for American mahjong?
A mat is optional. It can help with noise and table protection, while providing a consistent playing surface. Choose the size around your table, racks and preferred layout; players who already have a suitable covered table may not need another mat.
Can I order mats without tiles?
Yes. The mat is its own line with its own minimum — 50 pcs per design — and it does not need a tile order to be quoted. A mat-only run can use the published ladder. If you also order tiles, confirm the separate color approvals, sample schedule and packing plan together.
Do you embroider monograms?
No. Single-piece monogramming is a retail service. We print your artwork — a logo, a pattern, a club monogram — across a production run from 50 pieces, so every mat in the run carries the same mark. If each mat needs a different name, that is personalization, which we do not offer.
What file do you need for the print?
For the mat, supply outlined vectors or an embedded raster at the agreed print resolution for the final mat size, with colors named. Tile engraving separately requires vectors. No templates and no design service — your designer sets up the artboard from the mat size you chose. The artwork page lists the checks a file has to pass.
Is the mat acrylic?
No. The tiles, racks, pushers and cases are cast acrylic made in our factory; the mat is a textile part sourced with your set and printed to your artwork. We coordinate its specification, sample, inspection and packing; the mat is not fabricated from acrylic sheet.
Can the mat color match my tiles?
The print can carry any color your artwork names, so a mat background matched to a tile body color is a normal brief. Print color and sheet color are judged separately: the tile body is approved on the physical tile sample, the mat on the physical mat sample. Send both targets on one brief; approve the actual mat and tile samples together before production.
Can I get a mat sample first?
Yes — one mat sample at USD 50 including courier, paid separately and never credited to production, with timing confirmed alongside any tile sample in the brief. Additional sample copies or designs need a separate quote. It is the physical standard the run is checked against: print, edge, backing and size.
