Display Stand Types at a Glance

Acrylic display stands fall into five main formats: countertop displays, floor-standing displays, wall-mounted displays, LED-lit displays, and tiered risers. They differ mainly in footprint, height, and load capacity — countertop and riser units sit on a counter and hold light product, floor-standing units stand up to 2 meters and carry the most weight, and wall-mounted units use vertical space with no floor footprint. The reference below shows the typical range for each; every unit is custom-built, so your final dimensions and load rating are engineered to your spec.

Type Typical footprint Typical height Typical load Best for MOQ Lead time
Countertop 150–400 mm wide 100–450 mm Up to ~5 kg Checkout, cosmetics, small product merchandising 50 pcs 15–20 days
Floor-standing 400–900 mm wide 600–2,000 mm Up to ~40 kg (engineered base) Retail floors, showrooms, product launches 50 pcs 15–20 days
Wall-mounted No floor footprint Mounted at any height Up to ~8 kg per shelf (standoff-rated) Shelving, sign panels, galleries, menu boards 50 pcs 15–20 days

Riser 100–300 mm wide 30–200 mm (tiered) Up to ~3 kg Raising products for counter and window visibility 50 pcs 15–20 days

Explore All Display Stand Types

Wetop manufactures nine acrylic display formats on one production line: countertop displays, floor-standing displays, wall-mounted displays, LED stands, risers, shelves, sign holders, brochure holders, and wall sign holders. Every format is custom-built to your dimensions at an MOQ of 50 pieces with a sample in 3–5 days.

Nine formats, one factory. If you are still weighing acrylic against wire, wood, or cardboard for your program, our retail display stands — material and cost guide compares them on lifespan and cost per selling week.

Featured Display Stand Categories

The four highest-volume acrylic display formats are countertop, floor-standing, wall-mounted, and LED-lit stands. Countertop stands sit at eye level in the highest-conversion zone of a store; floor-standing units reach up to 2 meters for retail-floor impact; wall-mounted displays turn empty wall space into merchandising area; LED stands add edge-lit or backlit illumination for premium product visibility. Each is detailed below with its configuration options and spec range.

Why Acrylic for Displays?

Acrylic (PMMA) is the standard material for retail and commercial display stands. It combines glass-like clarity with half the weight, 17× the impact resistance, and significantly lower cost. Unlike glass, acrylic can be laser-cut, CNC-machined, and thermoformed into complex custom shapes — making it ideal for branded, custom-designed displays.

Acrylic (PMMA) Glass Wood Metal
Clarity 92% light transmission 90% Opaque Opaque
Weight ~50% lighter than glass Heavy Heavy Heavy
Impact resistance 17× stronger than glass Fragile Durable Durable
Custom shapes Laser-cut, CNC, thermoformed Limited CNC only CNC, welded
Branding UV print, engrave, hot stamp Limited Print, engrave Print, engrave
Cost (custom) Low–Medium High Medium Medium–High
Best for Product displays, retail, POP Museum cases Furniture displays Structural fixtures

The three clear materials buyers compare for displays are acrylic (PMMA), polycarbonate (PC), and glass — and each fails a different way. Polycarbonate is more impact-resistant but scratches easily and yellows under UV within roughly 2–3 years, so branded surfaces cloud and dull. Glass stays clear but is heavy, shatters on impact, and raises freight cost and breakage risk on export orders. Acrylic holds clarity for 5+ years indoors, resists shattering, weighs about 50% less than glass, and CNC-machines cleanly into custom shapes — which is why it's the default for retail and POP displays.

Acrylic (PMMA) Polycarbonate (PC) Glass
Scratch resistance Good — hard surface Poor — scratches easily Excellent
UV / yellowing Stays clear 5+ years indoors Yellows in ~2–3 years No yellowing
Impact behavior Resists shattering Highest impact resistance Shatters
Weight ~50% lighter than glass Similar to acrylic Heavy — raises freight cost
Custom shaping Clean CNC, laser, thermoform Machinable, gummier to cut Limited
Typical failure mode Surface scuffing if abused Scratching + UV yellowing Breakage in transit or handling

What Affects Display Stand Pricing?

Acrylic display stand pricing depends on six factors: size and thickness, quantity, material, finishing, structural design, and packaging. We don't publish fixed prices because every display is custom — but here's what drives the cost so you can plan your budget.

Size & Thickness

Larger dimensions and thicker acrylic use more material. A 3mm countertop riser costs less than a 10mm floor display of the same size.

Order Quantity

Unit cost drops significantly as quantity increases. 500 units costs less per piece than 50.

Material Type

Clear acrylic is standard pricing. Colored, frosted, mirrored, and anti-static cost more.

Finishing & Branding

UV printing and hot stamping add cost. Diamond polishing is included as standard on every display.

Structural Complexity

Single-piece designs are simpler. Multi-part assemblies with LED, hardware, and moving parts cost more.

Packaging & Shipping

Standard bulk packaging is included. Retail-ready packaging, individual boxing, or branded inserts add cost. Shipping method (FOB, CIF, DDP) also affects your landed price.

As an indicative guide only, simple countertop risers and small stands often land around $3–$12/unit FOB Shenzhen at volume; mid-complexity multi-tier or wall-mounted displays around $10–$40/unit; and large floor-standing or LED-integrated units around $40–$150+/unit. These are rough ranges that shift with size, quantity, finishing, and structural design — not quotes. Once you lock in the six variables above, send us your specs and we'll give you an exact number — no ballpark, no surprises.

Why Businesses Choose Wetop for Display Stands

Businesses choose Wetop as their acrylic display stand manufacturer because of responsive communication, sample-to-production consistency, and low 50-piece minimums — backed by ISO 9001 certification and 18+ years of custom acrylic experience.

Wetop Acrylic factory

Custom-Built, Not Mass-Produced

No templates, no catalog limits. Send us a sketch, CAD file, or reference photo — our engineering team builds to your dimensions, shapes, and branding. We operate 8 laser cutters, 4 CNC machines, and a dedicated diamond polishing line to handle any design.

Crystal-Clear Quality

Diamond-polished edges deliver optically clear finishes that make products look their best. Our polishing process eliminates micro-scratches invisible to the eye but visible under retail lighting. The result: displays that look like glass at a fraction of the weight.

From Prototype to Production in Days

Samples ship in 3–5 days. Bulk production runs 15–20 days. Our 5,000 m² Shenzhen facility scales from 50-unit test orders to 50,000-unit rollouts — same factory, same quality standards, same team.

We switched from a local supplier to Wetop for our cosmetics displays. Quality is better, lead time is half, and pricing came in meaningfully lower. The sample-to-production consistency is what sealed it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of acrylic display stands does Wetop manufacture?

We manufacture all types of acrylic display stands including countertop displays, floor-standing displays, wall-mounted displays, tiered risers, rotating stands, and LED-lit displays. Every stand is custom-built to your specifications with a minimum order of 50 pieces.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom acrylic display stands?

Our MOQ for acrylic display stands is 50 pieces. This allows businesses of any size to order custom displays — from a startup testing a retail concept to a chain rolling out to hundreds of locations.

How long does it take to produce custom acrylic display stands?

Sample production takes 3–5 days. Once you approve the sample, bulk production runs 15–20 days depending on complexity and quantity. We ship FOB Shenzhen, with CIF and DDP options available.

Can you add LED lighting to acrylic display stands?

Yes. We integrate LED strips, edge-lit panels, and backlit bases into acrylic displays. LED integration is handled in-house — no third-party outsourcing. Tell us the effect you want and we'll engineer it.

What finishes are available for acrylic display stands?

We offer diamond polishing (crystal-clear edges), flame polishing, frosted finishes, silk-screen printing, UV full-color printing, laser engraving, and hot stamping. Multiple finishes can be combined on a single piece.

How much do custom acrylic display stands cost?

Pricing depends on five factors: size, quantity, material type, finishing complexity, and structural design. A simple single-tier countertop riser costs less than a multi-tier floor display with LED lighting and UV-printed branding. Complex printing setups, custom CNC shapes, or multi-part assemblies add production cost that may not be visible in the final design — we'll break down the cost bridge in your quote. Send us your specs — we respond within 24 hours with a detailed quote.

Can I see a drawing or 3D preview before you build the sample?

Absolutely. For any display stand project, our engineering team creates a production drawing or 3D rendering during the quoting stage — before we cut any acrylic. You get to approve the design direction, confirm dimensions, and spot any fit issues before sample production. This prevents costly errors and keeps both sides aligned. The full gate-by-gate path is in our custom display stands — design to production guide, or send your specs through our contact form.

How do I know if my display stand will fit my products?

Specify the product dimensions, weight, and how many pieces you'll display. For fit-critical displays (product wells, shelving depth, weight capacity), we recommend ordering a sample first — you can test fit your actual products before committing to bulk production. A sample takes 3–5 days and costs $30–$100 (credited to your first order). Most fit surprises surface at sample stage, not production.

Can you color-match my brand Pantone or sample material before production?

Yes. Send your Pantone code or a physical color chip with your inquiry. We source tinted acrylic sheets or test printing methods on a sample so you approve the exact match before bulk production. Pantone-matched colors sometimes have slightly longer lead times (confirm in quote). Color variations due to printing setup are documented in your sample approval, and bulk production matches the approved sample within SGS tolerance.

Can you make the magnets on the back of a display smaller or less visible?

Yes — magnet size, count, and placement are all customizable to your spec. There's a tradeoff to know: surface-mounted magnets sit on top of the acrylic and are cheaper, but their footprint can show through or take up visible area; embedded (recessed) neodymium magnets — commonly N42 to N52 grade — are countersunk flush into the acrylic so the back stays clean and the magnet nearly disappears, at a small tooling cost. Smaller-diameter magnets are less visible but hold lighter loads, so we match magnet grade and size to your panel thickness and the weight it needs to hold, then confirm the hold strength on your sample before bulk. Our magnetic-mount and anti-theft display guide breaks down every mounting method and the footprint tradeoffs. Tell us how the display mounts and what it needs to hold through our contact form and we'll spec the magnets to match.

Can I get a PDF proof or drawing to show my own customer before production?

Yes. Before we cut any acrylic or commit tooling, our engineering team produces a PDF proof — a 3D render, a dimensioned production drawing, or a dieline for print placement — that you can forward to your own end customer for sign-off. This is built for white-label and reseller workflows: your customer approves the artwork and dimensions under your brand, you approve to us, and only then does production start. It keeps everyone aligned and prevents costly revisions after the mold is made.

Is the MOQ per design, and can I split it across multiple designs or sizes?

Our baseline MOQ of 50 pieces is per design — meaning per unique artwork, shape, and size combination, since each variation needs its own setup (print film, cut path, or tooling). You generally can't blend three different designs into one lot of 50 and still get the 50-piece price, because each design carries its own setup cost. If you want a mix, the cleanest path is 50 per design; for smaller test runs across several designs, tell us your full list and quantities and we'll quote the setup-vs-unit-cost tradeoff honestly so you can decide where to consolidate. Minor size variations within one design are usually easier to accommodate than fully separate artworks — send your spec list and we'll advise.

Have a Display Stand Design? Let's Quote It.

Send us your design, sketch, or reference photo. We respond within 24 hours with a detailed quote — material options, finishing choices, and timeline included. No commitment required. Sample before you commit to production.
